Role Overview:

As a cloud infrastructure engineer specialized in Pulumi with Python, you will architect, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions leveraging the Pulumi Python SDK. Using your strong Python programming skills, you will model cloud resources, automate deployments, and manage stack lifecycles with Pulumi's CLI tools.

Your role includes creating reusable Python infrastructure constructs, managing dependencies through virtual environments, and debugging infrastructure scripts to ensure smooth cloud operations. You may also integrate AWS SDK (boto3) with Pulumi for advanced AWS service automation.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will help deliver scalable and maintainable cloud infrastructure using modern infrastructure-as-code practices.

What does day-to-day look like:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Pulumi with Python.
• Write reusable Python classes and constructs to define cloud resources and infrastructure components.
• Manage infrastructure deployment lifecycle using Pulumi CLI commands.
• Use Python virtual environments (venv, virtualenv) and manage dependencies with pip.
• Debug and validate infrastructure code to ensure reliability and compliance.
• Optionally integrate boto3 with Pulumi projects for enhanced AWS automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve infrastructure automation and deployment processes.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Pulumi using the Python SDK and scripting constructs.
• Strong skills in Python infrastructure programming, including use of classes for modeling resources.
• Experience with Pulumi CLI commands such as pulumi up, pulumi preview, and pulumi destroy.
• Familiarity with Python virtual environments and dependency management using pip.
• Experience debugging and validating infrastructure code written in Python.
• Optional: Experience integrating AWS SDK (boto3) with Pulumi for advanced AWS resource management.

Offer Details:

• Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and minimum 20/30/40 hours per week with overlap 4 hours with PST
