Role Overview:

As an infrastructure engineer specializing in AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) with TypeScript, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using modern infrastructure-as-code practices. Leveraging your expertise in TypeScript (including interfaces, types, classes, and generics) and the Node.js environment, you will create reusable constructs to define scalable and secure AWS resources.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include deploying AWS infrastructure components such as Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC, managing deployment lifecycles with CDK CLI commands (cdk synth, cdk deploy), and writing unit tests using Jest to ensure code quality. You will collaborate closely with DevOps and cloud teams to debug infrastructure issues, troubleshoot deployment failures, and optimize the automation workflows.

This role demands strong programming skills, familiarity with package management using npm, and a practical approach to infrastructure automation that supports scalable cloud environments.

What does day-to-day look like:

• Design, develop, and maintain AWS infrastructure as code using AWS CDK with TypeScript.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure components like Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC using CDK constructs.
• Manage package dependencies and builds in the Node.js environment using npm.
• Run CDK CLI commands such as cdk synth and cdk deploy to deploy infrastructure changes.
• Write and maintain unit tests with Jest to validate infrastructure code.
• Debug and troubleshoot infrastructure deployment and runtime issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to improve automation workflows and infrastructure reliability.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) using TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript features: interfaces, types, classes, and generics.
• Experience with the Node.js runtime environment and npm package management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS core infrastructure services including Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
• Familiarity with CDK CLI commands such as cdk synth and cdk deploy.
• Experience writing unit tests with Jest for infrastructure code.
• Skills in debugging and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure deployments and runtime issues.

Offer Details:

• Commitments Required: at least 4 hours per day and minimum 20/30/40 hours per week with 4 hours overlap with PST
