Role Overview: The Release Management Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, compliance, and quality of all releases across infrastructure, cloud, applications, databases, and Salesforce environments. This role involves auditing release processes, validating adherence to governance standards, and mitigating risks associated with deployments in complex enterprise ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit & Compliance:
Review and validate release documentation, approvals, and deployment plans for infrastructure, cloud, application, database, and Salesforce releases.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Quality Assurance:
Review and validate change and release artifacts including the testing scenarios, implementation and backout plans, testing scenarios, data and so on
Review and validate the pre and post release activities for completion
Release Governance:
Monitor release cycles and verify adherence to established release management frameworks.
Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements for risk mitigation.
Risk Assessment:
Conduct impact analysis for releases and assess potential risks to production environments.
Validate rollback strategies and contingency plans.
Collaboration:
Work closely with DevOps, Cloud, Application, Database, and Salesforce teams to ensure smooth and compliant deployments.
Act as a liaison between development, operations, and audit teams.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain detailed audit logs and generate compliance reports for leadership.
Track release metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of Release Management processes and ITIL principles.
Experience auditing releases in Infrastructure, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Applications, Databases, and Salesforce environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and change management.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, ISO, GDPR).
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Certifications in ITIL, Release Management, or Cloud platforms.
Experience with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Git, Azure DevOps, or Salesforce Deployment tools.
