Release Manager

Job Description

As a Release manager - main task for this role it to own release schedule, scope and execution of all project and sub-project releases in the department. Closely cooperate with all stakeholders including developers, UAT testers, Production support teams in order to minimize risk on application releases. Daily duties for this role implies coordination of new release deployments to UAT and PROD Parallel environments, creation and overseeing Pull Requests in to Release branches, reviewing status of JIRA tasks in UAT testing stage, retrieving sign offs for new functionality released to PROD environment, organising pre-release calls with PROD Support team, preparing release documentation as well as shadowing PROD Support team during release execution.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
. Proven experience in release coordination/management
. Familiarity with SQL or other database query language
. Ability to read and interpret application/system logs
. Experience in Git, Jira, Teamcity, and Confluence is highly desirable

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
. One of degree in engineering/math/computer science or equivalent experience
. Knowledge of Agile and/or ITIL models
. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
. Ability to coordinate multiple teams to ensure tasks are completed in time with the release schedule
. Analytical skills and problem-solving
. High sense of responsibility and urgency
. Advanced communication skills

. Managing risks that may affect release scope and schedule
. Measure, monitor and maintain release process
. Collaborate closely with developers & business teams
