Release management Lead

Description

The Release Management Lead will oversee and streamline the software release process, ensuring that all releases are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards. This role involves collaboration with various teams to facilitate smooth releases and continuous improvement in release processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and coordination of release activities across multiple teams and projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of software releases by managing release schedules and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve release-related issues.
• Develop and maintain release management processes and best practices.
• Monitor and report on the progress of releases, including status updates to stakeholders.
• Conduct post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future releases.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in release management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
