Your Role
As a Release & Deployment Manager, you will manage the entire lifecycle of releasesfrom planning and scheduling to deployment and postrelease analysis. You will coordinate with crossfunctional teams, mitigate risks, optimize processes, and ensure highquality delivery across production environments.
Your Profile
- Plan and manage release cycles and deployment activities according to established schedules.
- Coordinate with development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure successful release delivery.
- Manage dependencies between thirdparty applications, infrastructure updates, defect backlogs, and project timelines.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact scope, schedule, or quality.
- Track release progress, address issues proactively, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper governance for all release typesNormal, Standard, and Emergency releases.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for postdeployment issues and ensure timely closure.
- Provide weekly updates to stakeholders via Governance forums.
- Lead GoLive events, ensuring smooth deployment, validation, and controlled handover.
- Conduct Post Release Analysis (PRA) to evaluate failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain all releaserelated documentation including runbooks, notifications, dependencies, and deployment procedures.
- Strong experience in Project Management.
- Indepth knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Release, Deployment Management).
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Working experience with SAP deployments using STMS.
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Good knowledge of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems.
