Job Description

Job Role Purpose Objective

Wealth Managers are responsible for acquiring new client relationships and deepening existing ones by offering a range of financial products, primarily targeting HNI customers (relationships of INR 5 lakhs and above). The role also involves ensuring proper customer due diligence and verifying KYC requirements during in-person onboarding.

Key Duties Responsibilities

  • Acquire and nurture client relationships across banking products
  • Generate new business to meet defined sales targets
  • Build and deepen relationships to increase share of wallet and revenue
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Manage an existing portfolio to up-sell and cross-sell, with focus on wealth products
  • De-risk portfolio against attrition and maintain book stability
  • Track and manage key performance indicators effectively
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of customer profiles, demographics, psychographics, and assets (within and outside the bank)
  • Achieve targets related to product mix and cross-selling
  • Ensure high productivity to maximize sales efficiency
  • Execute proactive sales call plans and acquire customers through referrals
  • Stay updated on regulatory and compliance guidelines, especially for high-value transactions
  • Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures
  • Report suspicious transactions to the supervising officer promptly
  • Acquire New-to-Bank (NTB) customers
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence, including residence/office visits when required
  • Perform customer due diligence and collect required KYC documents (individual non-individual) while sourcing accounts and deposits

Minimum Requirements Of Knowledge Skills

  • Effective communication skills in English and local/vernacular language
  • Strong networking and analytical abilities

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate (any discipline)
  • Postgraduate / MBA preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Good understanding of banking products and operations
  • Experience in Banking / NBFC preferred

Certifications (If Any)

  • IRDA
  • NISM
  • Internal certifications (if applicable)
