Job Summary

As a Relationship Manager - Secured Direct, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of secured direct lending clients, focusing on building strong relationships and identifying their financial needs to offer appropriate lending solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and expand a portfolio of existing secured direct lending clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the secured direct lending space, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence for loan applications, assessing creditworthiness and risk profiles.
  • Structure and negotiate complex secured lending deals, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and adhere to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare and present detailed credit proposals to internal committees, articulating risk mitigation strategies and client benefits.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes within secured direct lending.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including credit, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless client service and efficient transaction execution.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate non-performing loans.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in relationship management within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on secured direct lending.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and growing a client portfolio and achieving sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of secured lending products, credit analysis, and risk management principles.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial software and CRM systems.
