Job Description

A Relationship Manager in Personal Banking is responsible for acquiring and managing high-net-worth clients by building and deepening relationships to increase products, assets, and revenue. Key duties include client acquisition through referrals, sales and cross-selling banking and wealth management products, and managing the client portfolio to ensure high satisfaction and retention. The role also requires ensuring compliance with all relevant banking policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Generate new business and expand the client base by acquiring high-net-worth customers through proactive sales calls, referrals, and networking.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, trusting relationships with existing clients to increase their wallet share and retain them. This involves acting as the main point of contact and providing personalized attention.
  • Financial Advisory: Understand clients financial goals and objectives to provide tailored banking and investment solutions. This includes advising on a wide range of products, such as mutual funds, bonds, insurance, lending, and other bank offerings.
  • Portfolio Management: Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios to realign strategies based on market outlook and financial goals.
  • Sales and Cross-selling: Identify and capitalize on opportunities to cross-sell and upsell products and services to existing clients to meet defined sales and revenue targets.
  • Customer Service: Ensure an exceptional client experience by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving service issues, and coordinating with other departments like operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory norms, including KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as AUM growth (Assets Under Management), new client acquisition, and cross-sell ratios.
