Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Mumbai for a Relationship Manager. The Relationship Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering tailored financial solutions, and guiding them through the loan application process. The ideal candidate will support education loan and forex sales by engaging directly with students and parents. The role focuses on lead conversion, relationship building, coordination with internal teams, and achieving assigned sales targets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving loan sales through strategic engagement with students, parents, and educational institutions. The role includes team management, lead generation, relationship building, and partner development, with a focus on achieving business growth targets. The candidate will have strong experience in financial services / lending / education loan sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of scaling revenue in a competitive market.Day-to-day activities include customer support, advising on suitable products, coordinating with financial institutions, and ensuring excellent client satisfaction. The role may also include assisting with marketing initiatives to increase client engagement.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Counsel students and parents on education loan products and overseas financial solutions
  • Convert walk-in, digital, and partner-generated leads into successful disbursements
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and study-abroad consultants
  • Coordinate with credit, operations, and compliance teams for smooth processing
  • Cross-sell related services such as forex, remittance, and insurance
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and follow up on leads regularly
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end sales process for education loan products
  • Drive acquisition of students through direct, channel, and institutional partnerships.
  • Forge and manage strategic relationships with study abroad consultants, universities, EdTech platforms, and international education agencies.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand market reach.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, seminars, and conferences.

Requirements:

  • 14 years of experience in sales, relationship management, or customer acquisition
  • Exposure to BFSI / education loans / financial services preferred.
  • Strong network within the overseas education and student counselling ecosystem.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Target-driven mindset with problem-solving ability
  • Basic knowledge of loan processing and documentation is an advantage
  • Customer-centric approach
  • Good negotiation and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Basic CRM and MS Excel knowledge
