Job Description

Institutional Relationship Manager Bangalore

Department: Sales Institutional

Experience: 6-8 years

Role Purpose To manage and grow AUM and revenue market share with Family Offices and large / mid-sized corporate clients by building strong, long-term institutional relationships and delivering consistent sales outcomes across market cycles.

Key Responsibilities

Drive growth in AUM, revenue, and market share within the assigned institutional client set

Manage relationships with Family Offices, large corporates, and mid-sized institutions

Reactivate dormant relationships and acquire new institutional investors

Deliver superior sales outcomes across equity, fixed income, and mutual fund products

Engage clients through regular market updates, product discussions, data-driven insights, and meetings (digital & in-person)

Advise clients on market developments and fund house views to maintain strong top-of-mind recall

Leverage CRM, MIS, and market data to track opportunities and improve sales effectiveness

Share structured feedback on market trends, competition, and client preferences with internal stakeholders

Develop external market intelligence and strengthen institutional networks

Knowledge & Experience

Strong understanding of capital markets (equity & fixed income) and mutual fund products

Solid grasp of macroeconomic drivers and institutional investment behaviour

Deep understanding of institutional and family office sales processes

Experience working with family offices and institutional investors (Mumbai-focused experience preferred)

Skills & Attributes

Proven ability to deliver results across market cycles

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership of outcomes

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Ability to handle complex client situations and transactions Qualifications

MBA or equivalent qualification

CFA / CWM / CFP preferred
