Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Relationship Manager – Banca Insurance role based in Mumbai. The Relationship Manager will work closely with bank branches to drive life insurance business, build strong relationships with bank staff, and support them in achieving sales targets. Daily responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing customers sourced through the bank, understanding their financial needs, and recommending suitable life insurance products. The role involves regular branch visits, conducting product presentations and training sessions for bank teams, and ensuring accurate documentation and policy issuance. The Relationship Manager will also monitor portfolio performance, follow up on renewals, resolve customer queries, and coordinate with internal teams to provide timely service and adherence to regulatory and company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in banking, financial services, or insurance sales, preferably in a banca or relationship management role.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate bank staff.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain financial products clearly and ethically.
  • Good understanding of life insurance products, retail banking operations, and basic financial planning concepts.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work under targets, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple branches or partners.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to compliant and transparent selling.
  • Comfort using digital tools, CRM systems, and mobile/online platforms for sales tracking, reporting, and customer servicing.
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline; qualifications in finance, insurance, or related fields are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in the Mumbai market and proficiency in English and local languages will be beneficial.
