Job Description

A Broking Sales Relationship Manager will be expected to be responsible for acquiring new clients and managing existing high-value relationships to generate brokerage revenue through the sale of various financial products, including equities, mutual funds, and derivatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Business Growth: Identify, acquire, and onboard new retail and/or institutional clients, promoting Demat and Trading account openings through lead generation and referrals.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with active traders and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). This involves regular contact, understanding client needs, and ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Sales & Revenue Generation: Drive revenue by meeting sales/revenue targets, cross-selling a range of investment products (e.g., Mutual Funds, PMS, IPOs, Insurance), and encouraging trading activity.
  • Advisory Services: Provide clients with investment advice and tailored stock trading solutions based on market trends, risk assessment, and financial needs.
  • Operational Support & Compliance: Assist clients with account setup, trading interfaces, and order execution. Ensure all client onboarding, KYC (Know Your Customer), and regulatory requirements are met and documented.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor client trading patterns and stay updated on market trends to identify opportunities to upsell or provide timely market insights.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is typically required. An MBA will be a plus.
  • Experience: Good experience in equity sales, broking, wealth management, or a similar financial services role.
  • Certifications: Relevant financial certifications such as NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) Series VII, Series VIII, or equivalent licenses are often preferred or required, depending on the region.

  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, stock trading mechanisms, and financial products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong sales aptitude and a target-driven mindset.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with high-value clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and trading platforms.
