Role Description The Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirunelveli. The individual in this role will manage and grow a portfolio of clients by understanding their insurance needs and recommending suitable life, health, general, and vehicle insurance products. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting prospective and existing clients, explaining policy features and benefits, preparing quotations, and assisting clients with documentation and policy renewals. The Relationship Manager will coordinate with internal teams and insurance providers to ensure accurate policy processing and timely issue resolution. The role also involves maintaining regular follow-ups, providing post-sale support, gathering feedback, and identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to strengthen long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to build trust, listen actively, and understand diverse customer needs.
- Clear and professional communication skills in English and regional languages, with the ability to explain insurance concepts in simple terms.
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about life, health, general, and vehicle insurance products and regulatory requirements.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client accounts, follow-ups, and documentation efficiently.
- Comfort with using phones, email, and basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM or record-keeping systems) for client tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work on-site in Tirunelveli, conduct regular field visits, and travel locally as needed for client meetings.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented approach, with a focus on ethical sales practices and long-term customer satisfaction.
- Higher secondary education or a bachelor's degree in any discipline; prior experience in insurance, financial services, or sales is an advantage but not mandatory.
