Reinsurance Analyst

About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for managing all post-placement reinsurance operational activities for Facultative and Treaty business. The role involves handling documentation, premium , stakeholder coordination, reporting, ensuring seamless operational support between insurers, reinsurers, finance teams and business units.

Responsibilities

Role is more specific with assignments include all roles post Placement & Documentation

• Prepare and process Facultative and Treaty reinsurance documentation.
• Review cover notes, slips, treaties, endorsements and placement records.
• Maintain accurate records of reinsurance contracts and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with Finance for reconciliation of receivables and payables.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with stakeholders for settlement.
• Follow up on PPW.
• Generate periodic operational MIS reports.
• Prepare reports for management review and audit requirements.
• Support business teams with data analysis and operational insights.
• Liaise with insurance companies, reinsurers and internal business teams.
• Knowledge of SARB RI software will be additional advantage.

Qualifications

Graduate in any discipline.

Insurance-related qualifications (III, AIII, ACII, CII, or equivalent) preferred. Any Graduate/Post

Experience : Min 2-3 years of experience in RI Operation

Required Skills

Strong understanding of reinsurance processes and documentation.

Excellent MS Excel.

Strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work under strict timelines and manage multiple priorities.
