About The Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counsellor to join our Nasha Mukti Kendra in Patna. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing psychological and emotional support to individuals undergoing treatment for substance abuse and addiction. The counsellor will play a key role in guiding patients through their recovery journey and supporting their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual counselling sessions for patients undergoing de-addiction treatment.
- Facilitate group counselling and therapeutic sessions.
- Assess patients psychological, emotional, and behavioural needs.
- Develop personalized recovery and rehabilitation plans.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain detailed counselling records.
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support when required.
- Conduct family counselling sessions and educate family members on addiction recovery.
- Coordinate with doctors, psychologists, social workers, and rehabilitation staff for holistic patient care.
- Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and motivational sessions.
- Prepare reports and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist in relapse prevention planning and aftercare support.
Essential
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in Hindi and English.
- Ability to work empathetically with individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges.
Preferred
- Prior experience in addiction counselling, rehabilitation centres, mental health institutions, hospitals, or NGOs.
- Certification in Counselling, Psychotherapy, or Addiction Treatment.
- Experience conducting group therapy and family counselling sessions.
- Excellent listening and counselling skills.
- Strong empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Team-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
