Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. As a Regulatory Specialist (DGCA Type Certification), you will be responsible for end-to-end management of drone type certification processes under DGCA, including preparation and submission of technical documentation via eGCA, interpretation of CSUAS certification requirements, and liaison with QCI-empanelled testing bodies. The role involves reviewing DGCA regulatory guidelines and Civil Drone Bill 2025 provisions, coordinating with internal engineering and product teams, and maintaining compliance with applicable BIS/CEMILAC standards. Direct engagement with regulators and certification bodies will be a core part of the position.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with DGCA Type Certification for RPAS/UAS — from a manufacturer, consultancy, or test agency
  • Strong understanding of the CSUAS certification framework, eGCA platform workflows, and Digital Sky portal
  • Familiarity with QCI drone certification scheme and BIS/CEMILAC testing requirements
  • Working knowledge of the Civil Drone Bill 2025 and Drone Rules 2021
  • Exceptional analytical skills for interpreting regulatory guidelines and preparing compliance documentation
  • Effective communication skills for working with engineering teams, clients, and regulators
  • Experience with agri-drone or pesticide drone approvals under CIB&RC is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics, Law, or a related field
  • 2+ years in a regulatory or certification role within the drone or aviation sector is highly desirable
