. Manage regulatory enquiries, requests for information, and the regulatory communications register.
. Monitor and assess regulatory developments impacting the Bank's business and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders through compliance circulars and advisory notes.
. Support regulatory licensing and representative compliance requirements under the Banking Act, SFA and FAA, including representative appointments, registrations, cessations, and related regulatory filings and notifications.
. Manage regulatory reporting obligations, including reviewing, preparing, and submitting regulatory reports, notifications, and filings, while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
. Work closely with business units and stakeholders on regulatory compliance considerations relating to business activities, operational changes, and initiatives.
. Maintain, review, and enhance Compliance Policies and Procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry best practices.
. Conduct compliance monitoring and testing to assess the effectiveness of controls and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
. Support customer complaint management by reviewing complaint reports, liaising with stakeholders, and providing regulatory compliance guidance.
. Prepare compliance reports and presentations for Senior Management and Head Office, and present key compliance updates, findings, and regulatory developments.
. Liaise with external legal counsel, consultants, and auditors on regulatory, audit, and review matters.
. Review marketing materials and business initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards.
. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head of Legal & Compliance.
Requirements
. Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
. Professional qualifications such as ICA, ACAMS, or other relevant compliance certifications will be advantageous.
. At least 6 years of relevant experience in compliance, legal, audit or regulatory advisory functions within the banking or financial services industry.
. Strong understanding of Singapore regulatory requirements, including the Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act (SFA), Financial Advisers Act (FAA), MAS Notices, Guidelines, and regulatory expectations applicable to a Full Bank.
. Experience in wealth management or investment services would be an advantage.
. Prior experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory inspections, enquiries, or examinations is highly desirable.
. Strong analytical, problem-solving, regulatory interpretation, and report-writing skills.
. Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior management, regulators, auditors, external advisers and stakeholders across the organisation.
. Able to exercise sound judgment, think critically, and work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
. Comfortable working under pressure and managing ad hoc projects and assignments.
. Collaborative team player with the ability to build effective working relationships and facilitate constructive discussions across departments.
. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to continuously learn and keep abreast of regulatory developments.
