What would you do We are seeking a Fraud Operations Associate Manager with 8-12 years of experience in fraud operations, investigations, and people leadership to oversee frontline fraud operations teams supporting alert monitoring, fraud claims, investigations, case resolution, and customer-impact decisions for US-based banking and fintech clients. This role is responsible for supervising team leaders and analysts, driving queue performance, ensuring quality and compliance adherence, managing escalations, and supporting process improvements that strengthen fraud outcomes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

What are we looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in fraud operations, fraud investigations, or financial crime operations, with prior team leadership experience managing team leaders or large analyst groups.
  • Strong understanding of fraud workflows across cards, ACH, wire, Zelle/P2P, RTP, checks, digital banking, claims, disputes, and account takeover scenarios.
  • Knowledge of fraud typologies, investigation practices, loss mitigation, recovery concepts, and operational controls in US banking or fintech environments.
  • Good working knowledge of US regulations such as Reg E and Reg Z, along with audit, compliance, and quality expectations relevant to fraud and claims operations.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, escalation management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage operations in SLA-driven, high-volume environments using data to drive actions and performance outcomes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present operational insights and recommendations to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fraud tools, workflow platforms, reporting dashboards, and case management systems. Working Conditions
  • The candidate must be flexible to work US or rotational shifts and be willing to extend shift hours during transitions, staffing gaps, fraud spikes, or critical operational events, as needed. Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day fraud operations across one or more functional areas such as alert monitoring, fraud investigations, claims handling, account takeovers, payment fraud, and case resolution.
  • Lead team leaders and frontline staff to deliver against productivity, SLA, quality, and customer outcome targets in a high-volume operational environment.
  • Review queue health, capacity, staffing coverage, and daily operational risks, and take timely actions to address backlogs, aging, fraud spikes, and escalations.
  • Provide leadership on complex or high-risk fraud cases, including policy interpretation, financial impact assessment, customer remediation, and loss mitigation decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, client procedures, audit requirements, and applicable US regulations including Reg E and Reg Z across all fraud operations activities.
  • Drive quality improvements through calibration reviews, error trend analysis, coaching interventions, and reinforcement of risk-based decisioning standards.
  • Partner with quality, training, workforce management, fraud strategy, and client stakeholders to implement process changes, SOP updates, and operational controls.
  • Prepare and present operational reviews covering fraud trends, productivity, quality performance, loss themes, escalations, and improvement actions.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and capability development for team leaders and analysts.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, workflow redesign, and continuous improvement to improve fraud detection effectiveness, reduce losses, and enhance operational scalability.
