Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Registrar Emergency Medicine role based in Bengaluru. The Registrar will provide timely assessment, stabilization, and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department, including triage, resuscitation, and coordination of urgent investigations. Responsibilities include documenting clinical findings, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, initiating treatment plans under supervision of senior consultants, and participating in emergency procedures as required. The role also involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, and facilitating smooth transfer or admission of patients. The Registrar will contribute to quality improvement activities, maintain accurate medical records, participate in clinical discussions and teaching sessions, and support patient and family communication in a professional and compassionate manner.
Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MBBS) from a recognized institution with valid registration from the relevant medical council.
  • Postgraduate qualification or training in Emergency Medicine ( MD/DNB/MEM/MRCEM)
  • Strong clinical skills in emergency assessment, triage, and stabilization, including management of trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other acute conditions.
  • Proficiency in performing common emergency procedures (e.g., IV access, airway management under supervision, basic life support, ACLS/BLS certified or willing to obtain).
  • Ability to interpret basic investigations such as ECG, X-ray, and routine laboratory tests, and to escalate cases appropriately.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound clinical judgments, and prioritize multiple urgent tasks.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, adherence to hospital protocols, and continuous learning and skill development.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Prior experience in an emergency department, ICU, or acute care unit is an advantage but not mandatory for strong, motivated early-career clinicians.
