Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aide to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes, promoting independence and enhancing the overall quality of life for our patients.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and dressing
- Monitor and report vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance when necessary
- Clean and launder patient areas, as well as perform light housekeeping duties
- Observe patients conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient medication schedules and medical history
- Use medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
- Perform tasks within the scope of home health aide practice, adhering to state and federal regulations
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care, dignity, and respect
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a nursing home or home health setting
- Familiarity with medical records and patient observation
- Ability to perform laundry and cleaning tasks
- Knowledge of vital signs and the ability to accurately record them
- Experience with meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Current employment status or willingness to become employed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Valid CPR certification required
- Completion of a home health aide training program or equivalent experience
- Valid certification as a home health aide
