Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at
Baptist Emergency at Town Center in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a
Part-Time opportunity working Night shift with a commitment of 24 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:00PM-7:00AM
Located in the
St. Johns Town Center area, this freestanding emergency center brings Baptist Health's high-quality emergency services to one of Jacksonville's busiest and fastest-growing areas. The facility is designed to provide efficient emergency care with advanced technology and streamlined patient flow.
Registered Nurse, Job Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years Medical Surgical Nursing Experience
- Emergency Department Experience Preferred
- Hospital Experience
- Telemetry Experience
Education & Credential Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing Required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Certified Emergency Registered Nurse (CEN) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification Preferred
- Trauma Nurse Core Course Certification (TNCC) Preferred

Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel; coordination of care provided by ancillary services
- Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
- Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
- Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
Certification- ACLS required within 6 months for the Adult EDs and Free Standing EDs
- PALS required within 1 year of hire for the Free Standing EDs and required within 6 months for WCH ED.
