About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedic Wards nursing team. You will play a key role in delivering safe, highquality, personcentred care to a defined group of patients from admission to discharge.
Working as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidencebased care, ensuring patients and their families feel informed, supported and involved throughout their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver highstandard, evidencebased nursing care in line with NMC and NHS Scotland standards
- Organise and prioritise your workload to meet the needs of patients effectively
- Work within legal, ethical and professional frameworks, promoting patient safety and wellbeing
- Support junior staff and students, contributing to mentorship, preceptorship and professional development programmes
- Use sound clinical judgement in assessing patient conditions and responding appropriately
- Participate in audit, research, clinical governance and service improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection standards
- Contribute to smooth departmental running, including taking charge in absence of the Senior Charge Nurse
- Use specialised and generic clinical equipment safely and competently (e.g. ECG, IV pumps, bladder scanners)
About You
