These systems are integrated into its clients processes across the world in various domains such as aeronautics, defense, energy, metallurgy, offshore and industry.

Position

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Regional Supply & Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end sourcing and procurement lifecycle for our operations in India and the Middle East. This role requires a unique blend of cross-border logistics knowledge, negotiation prowess, and the ability to navigate two distinct regulatory environments. This role will be the bridge between our regional offices, ensuring that supply chains remain resilient, cost-effective, and compliant with local laws.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Driving the establishment or improvement of competitive frameworks and markets for the purchase of goods and services resulting in continuous improvement, improved supplier safety and measurable savings.
  • Attention must be paid to developing interpersonal relationship, effective teams and organisational trust.
  • Project Procurement: Support project managers by coordinating market analyses and purchasing projects, ensuring all materials are available precisely when needed for project milestones.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies for direct materials and services, aligning them with broader business objectives and project requirements.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with global and regional suppliers to secure optimal terms, quality, and delivery performance. Transition from transactional vendors to strategic innovation partners.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks through multi-sourcing strategies, regionalization, and predictive analytics.
  • Cost Optimization & TCO: Drive cost-saving initiatives using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models, value analysis, and competitive bidding.
  • Contribute towards safety and sustainable development and ensures that company's safety and sustainable development principles are discharged through the course of the work.
  • Contribute to the company's Safety Policies and Targets, zero LTI's and the development of BU or company Group contracts that reflect and enforce safety policies of the BU's for whom procurement is provided.
  • Engage with Project Managers from the project kick-off meeting to ensure demonstrate the value-addition of Project Procurement approach.
  • Liaison and oversee Project procurement activities to achieve project completion safely, on time and within budget.
  • Actively support the REEL strategy with respect to Market Development and Low Cost Country sourcing.
  • Ensure that Group leverage is appropriately used.
  • Ensure that operability requirements are appropriately addressed from a Procurement perspective.
  • Responsible for developing supplier framework.
  • Co-ordinate with Supplier for Export formalities and manage the delivery of results
  • Contribute to the development of RTP and BU peers and colleagues and mentor procurement professionals in Project Procurement.
  • Ability to understand and manage engineering conflicts in terms of design and execution of the ordered works expediting to Logistics.
  • Ensure stability and maximum output of systems worldwide and maintain economic balance to the world wide project and suppliers / deliveries
  • Manage procurement & sales activities for REEL while liaising and managing Key service providers and consultants
  • Accountability and monitoring of procurement activities, initiate new procedures to streamline procurement process, continuous improvement for both systems and products, services/information to the design department, services/information to sales therefore impact of price for REEL's products,
  • Estimate and mitigate late delivery and impact on third party project cost & the company liability in terms of claims, control of resources
  • Responsible for cost estimation process for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in forecasting costs and resources
  • Responsible for supporting development of vendor manufacturing base in India for REEL BU's (both for local and global businesses)
  • Prepare RFQs for various project & other procurement works
  • Evaluate quotations, hold clarifications, benchmarking of prices/ analyze, negotiation & finalize costs
  • Time schedule analysis and support planning team
  • Prepare Benchmarking comparison / analysis of costs
  • Maintain Cost database of executed projects and bids

Requirements

Key Skills :

  • Experience: 510 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing or procurement within an industrial manufacturing or engineered products environment.
  • Project Expertise: Proven track record in a project-based environment, managing complex, long-duration procurement cycles and outcome-based specifications.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
  • Negotiation Skills: Advanced negotiation techniques with a focus on complex deal-structuring and relationship-based value creation.
  • Regulated Industry Experience is a plus: Previous experience in highly regulated sectors (e.g., Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Automotive, Aerospace, or Nuclear) is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity and ability to utilize software and tools in order to add value to the procurement process
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to respond proactively as and when required.
  • Maintaining a database of historical cost data, bid documents, and other relevant information.
  • High professional integrity. Eye for quality is a must.
  • Strong inter-personal skills with excellent communication,
  • Good negotiation and conflict management skills.
  • Good exposure in internal and external stake holder management
  • Ability to be proactive, to use initiative and to work autonomously. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Should be open for travel as and when required.
  • Experience in a global matrix organization
