Regional Sourcing & Procurement Manager – Apparel
Location: Jaipur / Delhi NCR / Surat
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sourcing & Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and procurement operations within the apparel industry. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in vendor management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and supply chain localization while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, evaluation, selection, RFQ management, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, cost targets, and supply chain requirements.
- Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking studies to identify sourcing opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve supplier competitiveness.
- Analyze spend data and procurement trends to drive informed purchasing decisions and cost optimization initiatives.
Supplier Management & Development
- Source, evaluate, onboard, and manage regional suppliers to ensure consistent quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
- Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews, audits, and corrective action programs.
- Build strong supplier relationships to improve service levels, innovation, and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Monitor supplier capacity, capability, and financial health to ensure business continuity.
Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, quality standards, and service agreements.
- Manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), supplier bidding processes, and contract renewals.
- Ensure procurement agreements adequately protect company interests while maintaining supplier competitiveness.
Supply Chain Localization & Risk Management
- Drive localization initiatives to reduce total landed costs, improve responsiveness, and strengthen regional supply networks.
- Identify and mitigate sourcing and supply chain risks through proactive supplier diversification and contingency planning.
- Support sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing initiatives across the supplier base.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and Global Category Management teams to deliver effective sourcing solutions.
- Support new product introductions, capacity planning, and supplier capability development initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between procurement activities and broader business objectives.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain procurement documentation, supplier records, contracts, and sourcing reports.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and audit processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier management processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Textile Management, or a related discipline.
- 10–12 years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or supply chain management.
- Strong experience within the apparel industry.
Location-Specific Experience
- Jaipur: Experience in ethnic/traditional apparel sourcing is mandatory.
- Delhi NCR: Experience in western apparel sourcing is required.
- Surat: Experience in any apparel category is acceptable.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement operations, and supplier relationship management.
- Hands-on experience with procurement platforms and ERP systems such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent.
- Ability to analyze supplier contracts, commercial agreements, and financial statements.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting spend data, supplier performance metrics, and procurement KPIs.
- Strong understanding of procurement compliance standards, quality systems, and industry regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple suppliers and projects in a fast-paced environment.
