Job Description
Manager / Senior Manager — Sales & Delivery
Mumbai, India (serving the UAE)
Full-time | Sales & Delivery ownership, UAE Technology Contract Staffing
Reporting to: Managing Director and Business Head, TeamLease Digital Global
Why this role
After completing business school, most roles provide insight into an individual's involvement within an organization. However, this position offers an opportunity to develop a new market. You will oversee TeamLease Digital's Technology Contract Staffing operations in the UAE (based out of Mumbai), including client management, revenue oversight, and the delivery team responsible for operations. If you seek genuine profit and loss (P&L) ownership early in your career, with direct access to regional leadership, please continue reading.
About TeamLease Digital
TeamLease Digital is one of Asia's leading enterprise talent solutions providers. We partner with Fortune 500 organisations, IT services companies and enterprise functions to build and strengthen their technology teams. Clients come to us with the workforce question behind a transformation (how to resource a program, stand up a capability centre, or flex capacity across markets) rather than a single requisition.
The UAE is our next market build and a stated growth priority. Anchored by our regional headquarters in Singapore, we are investing to establish a full Technology Contract Staffing practice for the UAE as our gateway to the Middle East. Regional enterprise leaders engage us when they need local judgement and global delivery capacity in the same conversation.
What that gives a client:
- Compliant employment for each of their resource
- Top technology talent mobilised across technical and domain skills, with local language capability.
- Fulfilment for short-term project work and long-term embedded roles alike.
- Multi-platform sourcing across the region to identify best-in-class, culture-fit talent.
The mandate
This is a chance to build a market, not inherit one. You will own Technology Contract Staffing in the UAE end to end: the sales target, the market strategy, the client portfolio and the delivery team that fills every requisition. Because you will hire and lead that team yourself, the quality clients receive will be the standard you set. And because you report directly to regional leadership, your account strategy will, in effect, become the company's UAE strategy.
How you will work
- You will be based in Mumbai, working alongside the India delivery team that serves UAE clients.
- You will manage UAE accounts day to day by video, phone and email, with working hours that overlap with the UAE business day.
- You will travel to Dubai whenever the business needs you there, for client meetings, pitches, account reviews and onboarding.
How you will spend your time
- Engaging clients where the budget actually sits: hiring leaders, procurement and HR.
- Negotiating commercials end to end: rate cards, mark-ups, master agreements and Statements of Work.
- Leading delivery hands-on: recruiting, managing and developing the team, forecasting requisitions, and driving shortlist quality and speed to offer.
- Keeping compliance tight: working with in-market partners on UAE work permits, residence visas, MOHRE requirements, free zone employment rules and client onboarding protocols.
What you bring
- An MBA from a top-tier business school.
- 3–6 years of post-MBA experience in staffing or recruitment sales.
- A track record of selling into UAE/GCC clients, with a network you can name: the accounts, and the hiring leaders worth calling on Monday morning.
- A number you have carried and beaten: a revenue or gross profit target in a services business, ideally one you helped build rather than inherited.
- Hands-on delivery experience: leading or working closely with recruitment or delivery teams, and happy to stay close to fulfilment while the practice scales.
- Commercial fluency with procurement: rate cards, mark-ups, margin defence, master agreements, MSP/VMS platforms and panel submissions.
- Comfortable setting up processes, forecasting from a blank sheet, and being measured on outcomes rather than activity.
- Willingness to travel to Dubai as the business needs.
Good to have
- Working knowledge of UAE work permits and residence visas across mainland and free zones (DIFC, DMCC and others), MOHRE requirements and Emiratisation obligations, including the Nafis programme.
- Experience selling into regional enterprise and government-linked accounts across the GCC.
Why you will want this
- Ownership early. A market, a number and a team of your own, at a stage when most peers are managing a slice of an existing book.
- Visibility at the top. You work directly with the Managing Director and Business Head, and your account strategy shapes the company's UAE strategy.
- Cross-border exposure. Build a business in one of the world's most dynamic talent markets while leading a team from Mumbai.
