Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Regional Sales Manager role based in Chennai. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth in the assigned region by identifying new business opportunities, acquiring and onboarding merchants, and expanding relationships with existing customers. The role involves developing and executing regional sales plans, building a strong sales pipeline, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. The Regional Sales Manager will lead, coach, and motivate a regional sales team, monitor performance metrics, and ensure effective coverage of key markets and accounts. Day-to-day activities include client meetings, solution presentations, contract negotiations, collaboration with cross-functional teams (operations, product, and marketing), and providing market feedback to inform strategy and product enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or key account management, preferably in eCommerce, logistics, SaaS, or related industries.
  • Strong skills in territory planning, pipeline management, and sales forecasting, with a track record of achieving or surpassing regional sales targets.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams, including coaching, performance management, and sales process optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships and manage complex, solution-based sales cycles.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales productivity platforms; proficiency in MS Office or similar tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required
