About the Role:
To lead and build a high-impact Oncology division by driving clinical adoption, strategic growth, and market leadership in advanced cancer care technologies.
This role demands a clinical-first commercial leader who can work closely with oncologists, Urologist, Interventional Radiologist, Onco-surgeons, and hospital leadership, ensuring successful adoption of:
- Prostate Cancer Diagnostics (MRI-US Fusion Biopsy)
- HIFU, Fusion Cryoablation, Reversible Electroporation
- Advanced oncology devices and capital equipment
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Leadership & Adoption
- Engage with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, and uro-oncologists
- Drive clinical acceptance and utilization of advanced oncology technologies
- Support initial procedures, case selection, and OT presence for critical cases
- Lead discussions on:
- Targeted vs systematic biopsy approaches
- Precision oncology workflows
2. Business Strategy & P&L Ownership
- Own and drive P&L for Oncology division
- Develop and execute national growth strategy
- Build strong pipeline for high-value capital equipment sales
- Drive revenue, margins, and long-term business sustainability
3. KOL Development & Clinical Partnerships
- Build and manage relationships with top oncology KOLs
- Drive clinical programs, CMEs, and hands-on workshops
- Establish company as a clinical partner in cancer care
- Collaborate with hospitals for center-of-excellence development
4. Sales & Team Leadership
- Build and lead a specialized oncology sales & application team
- Drive a clinical selling approach (case discussions, OT involvement)
- Set KPIs: installations, utilization, revenue, and clinical conversions
- Mentor team on complex deal handling & stakeholder management
5. Technology & Product Leadership
- Lead portfolio including:
- Fusion biopsy systems
- Robotic oncology surgery platforms (e.g., da Vinci Surgical System)
- Work closely with OEMs and global partners
- Stay updated with advancements in precision oncology & surgical technologies
6. Market Development
- Identify new oncology centers, cancer institutes, and hospitals
- Expand presence across Tier 1, Tier 2 cities
- Analyze competitor positioning and pricing strategies
- Lead participation in oncology conferences & forums
7. Training & Capability Building
- Train internal teams on:
- Oncology clinical workflows
- Fusion biopsy procedures
- Robotic surgery applications
- Build strong clinical competency across sales teams
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's in Life Sciences / Biomedical / Engineering
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 10+ years in medical devices / oncology segment
- Proven experience in:
- Oncology or urology device sales
- Capital equipment (high-value deals)
- Clinical application support
- Strong exposure to:
- Prostate Fusion Biopsy (MRI-US fusion)
- Robotic surgery platforms (preferred experience with Intuitive Surgical ecosystem)
