Our prestigious client in the FMCG industry is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive sales, distribution, and business growth across the assigned state.
The ideal candidate will lead a regional team, manage distributor networks, and ensure strong market presence through effective sales execution and channel development.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve sales, revenue, and distribution targets for the assigned region.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand market reach and penetration.
- Identify and onboard new trade partners and distribution channels.
Channel & Distribution Management
- Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, super stockists, and retailers.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment, stock management, and healthy ROI for partners.
- Monitor market coverage and expand distribution footprint.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and guide Area Sales Managers and Sales Officers.
- Set clear performance goals and ensure timely reviews and reporting.
- Build a culture of accountability and performance excellence.
Trade Marketing & Market Execution
- Oversee implementation of promotional activities and visibility programs.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for regional campaigns and consumer activations.
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and emerging category trends.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor sales data, track KPIs, and present insights to management.
- Maintain regular MIS reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in FMCG sales; exposure to food or spice categories preferred.
- Proven experience in regional or state-level sales management.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and sales management tools.
