Role Overview

General Aeronautics is building high-performance agricultural drone platforms focused on reliability, uptime, and operational excellence. With 400+ drones deployed across India and strong revenue momentum, GA is entering a phase of disciplined growth and profitability focus.

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, dealer performance, and service excellence for key territories. This role combines business development, channel management, and operational oversight to ensure strong market penetration and high customer satisfaction.

The role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning a territory end-to-end, working closely with dealers, managing field operations, and building strong institutional relationships across the agriculture ecosystem.

The position can be based in Pune or Bangalore, with frequent travel within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Growth & Business Development

  • Drive regional revenue growth through dealer channels, institutional partnerships, and enterprise customers.
  • Execute state or territory level sales plans aligned with national business targets.
  • Identify opportunities with government programs, agri-enterprises, FPOs, and large agricultural operators.
  • Support participation in tenders, subsidy programs, and institutional procurement opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and ensure consistent deal closures.

Dealer & Channel Network Development

  • Identify, onboard, and develop high-quality dealers and agri-entrepreneurs.
  • Monitor dealer performance including sales throughput, inventory movement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide structured onboarding and training for channel partners.
  • Support dealers in driving demand generation, demos, and farmer outreach activities.
  • Strengthen dealer economics while ensuring sustainable margins for the company.

Service & Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with service teams to ensure strong fleet uptime and quick issue resolution.
  • Track service turnaround times and ensure spare parts availability through coordination with central teams.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and training initiatives for dealers and operators.
  • Act as the escalation point for recurring operational issues in the region.

Market Development & Partnerships

  • Build relationships with local agriculture departments, FPOs, agri startups, and institutional buyers.
  • Represent the company at agriculture exhibitions, demonstrations, and regional forums.
  • Help position General Aeronautics as a trusted and reliable technology provider in the agri-drone ecosystem.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and provide feedback to product and leadership teams.

Data, Reporting & Execution Discipline

  • Maintain accurate pipeline updates and sales reporting through CRM tools.
  • Track key performance indicators such as dealer performance, service metrics, and conversion rates.
  • Use data dashboards and AI-enabled tools for forecasting, lead prioritization, and market insights.
  • Ensure disciplined reporting, documentation, and compliance with internal processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 58 years of experience in channel sales, regional business development, or field operations.
  • Experience managing dealer or distribution networks.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with partners, customers, and institutional stakeholders.
  • Exposure to government programs, tenders, or institutional sales is a plus.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in Agri-tech, Farm Machinery, Drones, Industrial Equipment, or Capital Goods.
  • Exposure to rural markets and agricultural ecosystems.
  • Understanding of subsidy-driven or institutional sales models.
  • Experience working with CRM tools and performance dashboards.
  • Comfort using AI tools for reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency.
