A Zonal Sales Head for a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, acquiring new clients, and managing key accounts across a specific region.
This role involves developing regional sales strategies, achieving Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets, and providing tailored supply chain solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Target Achievement: Develop and execute regional business development plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition targets.
Business Development: Generate leads, identify new business opportunities in warehousing, transportation, and Contract Logistics (3PL), and secure large-scale contracts.
Key Account Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
Solution Designing: Collaborate with internal operational teams to design customized logistics, warehousing, and supply chain solutions tailored to client needs.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of Sales Managers/Executives, providing guidance to meet zonal sales KPIs.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales pipelines, CRM records, and MIS reports to analyze performance and ensure accurate forecasting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of extensive experience in 3PL, warehousing sales, or freight forwarding.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving sales performance in a regional capacity.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, warehousing operations, and industry trends.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP), CRM software, and sales analytics tools.
Qualifications: MBA or Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Experience Level: 10-15+ years of total experience for leadership positions.
