Job Description
Role Overview
The Regional Payroll Specialist will deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll services across assigned SEA markets during a six-month contract. The role partners with HR, Finance, external providers and regional stakeholders to manage payroll operations, controls, reconciliations and employee enquiries in a regulated financial-services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll for assigned SEA entities, including input validation, approvals, reconciliations and reporting.
- Ensure salaries, deductions, taxes, statutory contributions and final payments are accurate and delivered on schedule.
- Resolve payroll variances and employee queries in partnership with HR, Finance and external payroll providers.
- Maintain payroll calendars, procedures, controls and audit-ready documentation.
- Support statutory filings, audits, vendor management and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to regional process standardisation, automation and payroll-improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent practical experience.
- At least five years of payroll experience, including multi-country or regional Asia Pacific payroll operations.
- Knowledge of payroll controls, statutory obligations, reconciliations and year-end processes.
- Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong Excel and payroll or HR systems skills, with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Clear English communication, sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Financial-services payroll experience, Singapore payroll exposure or a relevant professional certification is advantageous.
