About the role

  • Responsible for sales and business development for Two-Wheeler (2W) OEM customers within client's Automotive Business Unit.
  • Drive key account growth, customer acquisition, and execution of Component Aggregate Manufacturer (CAM) and Harness Maker (HM) development strategies.

As a Regional Manager – South India, you will be responsible for...

  • Driving revenue growth for assigned 2W OEM accounts across Karnataka & Tamil Nadu regions.
  • Developing and executing account strategies aligned with Automotive BU objectives.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across OEMs, including procurement, engineering, and program teams.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities with 2W OEMs and emerging EV players.
  • Leading Component Aggregate Manufacturer (CAM) engagement activities, including RFQs, pricing, negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Collaborating with engineering and product teams on new product introductions and customization.
  • Driving Harness Maker (HM) ecosystem development to increase wallet share.
  • Tracking market trends, competitor activity, and customer strategies within the 2W segment.
  • Ensuring accurate sales forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Driving design-in activities and supporting the project lifecycle from concept through SOP.
  • Traveling extensively and being present at customer locations for more than 75% of working days across Karnataka & Tamil Nadu regions.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Retaining and growing existing business across assigned accounts.
  • Conducting comprehensive competition mapping and developing strategic counter-plans.
  • Developing a deep understanding of and effectively promoting the client portfolio.
  • Driving new product development (NPD) aligned with customer needs.
  • Achieving and exceeding year-on-year revenue growth targets.
  • Maintaining healthy Accounts Receivable (AR) and ensuring timely collections.
  • Building and sustaining a strong 5-year revenue pipeline.
  • Identifying, understanding, and capitalizing on future trends in the 2W ICE and EV industry.
  • Increasing client content per vehicle/platform.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to drive new project wins and execution.
  • Developing a strong understanding of 2W ICE and EV architectures to enable solution selling.

What you already have...

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics preferred); MBA is a plus
  • 5-10 years of experience in automotive sales/business development
  • Strong exposure to Two-Wheeler OEMs in India
  • Experience in connectors, wiring harness, or automotive components preferred
  • Proven track record in key account management and business growth
