Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Regional Inventory Ownership & DIO Performance
- Own regional inventory metrics including DIO, inventory turns, excess & obsolete (E&O), aged inventory, and inventory accuracy.
- Translate global inventory and working capital strategy into a clear regional execution framework balancing service, cost, and cash.
- Develop forward-looking inventory plans based on demand, supply, and production signals.
- Drive structured regional inventory reviews with defined actions, accountability, and measurable follow-through.
- E&O Monitoring.
- Establish clear processes for inventory tracking, reporting, liquidation strategy, and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Standardize stocking policies, safety stock methodologies, replenishment triggers, and lead-time assumptions.
- Act as the regional escalation point for systemic inventory issues, driving structural solutions rather than reactive intervention.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
- Partner with Operations, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Logistics, and SIOP leaders to influence decisions impacting inventory performance.
- Challenge local optimization that creates regional or enterprise inefficiencies.
- Facilitate structured cross-functional inventory reviews focused on trade-offs, risk mitigation, and sustainable improvements.
4. Process Transformation & Change Leadership
- Introduce industry best practices in multi-site Inventory Control and inventory optimization.
- Drive standardization and simplification initiatives to replace manual or experience-based approaches with data-driven planning models.
- Drive behavioral and governance change in legacy environments.
- Strengthen integration between planning systems, analytics, and operational execution.
5. System Integration & Continuous Improvement
- Drives structural initiatives to reduce inventory while protecting service and operational stability.
- Embed governance routines, KPI transparency, and performance rhythms across sites.
- Define and institutionalize standardized inventory KPIs.
- Partner with Digital and Analytics teams to advance predictive and automated inventory management capabilities.
Success Measures
- Regional DIO targets year-over-year.
- Reduction in excess & obsolete inventory through systemic improvements.
- Item Classification in system driving Material Ordering & MRP
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's in Engineering - Mechanical / Production
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) in supply chain management preferred
- ERP knowledge like Oracle , Kinaxis's, SAP
Certifications required
- APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent professional supply chain certification.
Experience (Non-Negotiable)
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain.
- Minimum 5+ years in a multi-plant, regional, or enterprise-level role.
- Experience leading multi-site planning or inventory transformation initiatives.
- Worked / knowledge of HVAC products
