Modern Trade Business

Role Purpose

To drive sell‑in and sell‑out growth across all Modern Trade formats in South India, while acting as National Key Account Manager (NKAM) for South‑headquartered MT chains and owning execution and sell‑out responsibility for all MT accounts operating in the South market.

Key Responsibilities

1. NKAM – Account Ownership (South‑Based Chains)

  • Act as National Key Account Manager for MT chains headquartered in South India for all south based accounts including regional chains.
  • Lead JBPs, national commercials, margins, schemes, assortments, and expansion plans.
  • Drive long‑term strategic partnerships and pan‑India coordination for these accounts.
  • 2. Sell‑Out & Execution Ownership – South Market (All MT Formats)

    • Drive sell‑out across all Modern Trade format stores in South India.
    • Ensure execution excellence for all MT accounts operating in South.
    • Own availability, visibility, promotions, NPD launches, and in‑store execution.
    • Work closely with regional sales, distributors, and stores to improve off‑take.

    3. Business Delivery & Commercial Management

    • Deliver sales, volume, and gross margin targets as per AOP.
    • Control trade spends and ensure ROI‑driven promotions.
    • Monitor secondary sales, stock cover, service levels, and forecasts.

    4. Cross‑Functional & Team Coordination

    • Act as the execution bridge between AKAM, KAE's, regional sales teams, supply chain, finance, and marketing.
    • Guide KAE's/Agency/Merchandiser for store‑level compliance and execution.

    Handle escalations and operational challenges for South MT accounts
