About the Role
The HR leader will drive HR strategy and operations in India, aligning with Tyler's global objectives and supporting the continued growth of the India entity.
Responsibilities
- Lead HR strategy and operations in India, aligning with Tyler's global objectives and supporting continued growth of the India entity
- Serve as the senior HR leader in-country, building and scaling HR programs, policies, and infrastructure
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring effective delivery across employee relations, compliance, and HR processes
- Act as subject matter expert on India labor law, compliance, and best practices, advising global and local leadership
- Provide strategic partnership to business leaders, including India Operations and US-based stakeholders
- Own oversight of India payroll in partnership with the Sr Payroll Administrator and our global payroll team, including final review and governance
- Lead and support compensation and benefits strategy and administration for India in conjunction with the Tyler Global benefits team
- Serve as primary HR contact for leadership and employees in India, ensuring a high-quality employee experience
- Partner with global HR teams to support performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning
- Build and foster a strong, inclusive workplace culture across India teams (in-office and remote)
- Drive and contribute to cross-functional and global HR initiatives
- Support ongoing expansion and organizational scaling efforts within India
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in both English and Hindi
- Experience supporting a US-based organization with global operations
- 5+ years of experience leading HR operations for software companies in India
- 2+ years running payroll in India
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Expert knowledge of principles, practices and functions of Human Resource Management
- Prior payroll/HRIS implementation experience
- Ability to work off hours as-needed to collaborate across multiple time-zones
- Ability to travel to US (once per year as-needed)
- Must be able to work at least 3 days a week at our Office in Pune or Ahmedabad
