Boeing India is looking for a Regional Director - Strategy to be based in New Delhi, India. The position will be part of Boeing International strategy and business development team. Person in this role will be responsible for developing strategies by coordinating with Boeing's business units (BCA, BDS, BGS) and Boeing Defense India to meet the growth and productivity objectives for Boeing in India. In addition to strategy development, person in this role will provide policy analysis and advocacy execution support. The individual will support initiatives related to policy advocacy, development of alliances, partnerships, joint ventures. etc.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create robust strategies for Boeing in India that position all 3 Boeing business units (BCA, BDS, BGS) for growth and productivity improvements
    • Value proposition refinement, business design / models (e.g. skilling, manufacturing)
    • Market and competitive assessment
    • Business case development / investment / financials for additional capabilities in India
    • Implementation plans
  • Coordinate and support the annual strategic planning process for Boeing India
    • India annual country strategy - long-term plan evolution as required
    • Strategy to Action planning - report that converts strategy into annual actions & goals with measurable results
  • Identify new white space opportunities for the company in India
  • Support strategy deep dives with Boeing business unit initiatives
  • Assist in merger, acquisition and joint venture activities (deal structuring, political counsel & local intelligence, government relations support, deal negotiation) for Boeing in India
  • Engage in advocacy to support Boeing India strategy
    • Lead crafting of white papers on skilling, Foreign Direction Investment in Defense, Offsets policy, etc.
    • Meeting papers for various meetings with the Government
  • Conceive and manage key university collaboration programs in India
    • University Relations Programs - Budget management, program management
    • BUILD - Boeing University Innovation Leadership Development Program - Conceptualization, planning, program management
    • Collaborate with HR on talent recruitment strategy
  • Develop and nurture relationships with select external institutional stakeholders, including government organizations, customer and supplier coalitions, business associations, and policy-oriented think tanks. Identify areas of mutual interest and strengthen the company position though a joint sphere of influence.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • A Bachelor's degree is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
  • 10-14 years of overall experience
  • 5+ years in Strategy Consulting in the Indian market.
  • Experience in assessing markets, customer needs, characterizing competitive advantages and gaps - similar roles include management consulting, investment banking, private equity or corporate strategy development
  • Industry experience in functions like manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, program management and industries like aerospace, automotive, heavy industrial will be an added advantage.
  • Global experience would be preferred.
  • Ability to rapidly build consensus and lead by influence across functions and business units
  • Align functions & business unit goals into cogent, compelling, and actionable plan for Boeing in India
  • Ethical Mindset
  • Sustain and strengthen the excellent reputation of Boeing in India
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in dealings with customers, government, suppliers, media

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Top-tier MBA (Indian or International)

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor/Master) and typically 10 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Relocation:

  • This position does offer relocation within INDIA for eligible candidates.
