Position Overview

The Regional Finance Controller will lead and manage all financial operations for their designated region, ensuring adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements while aligning with Blue Dart's strategic financial objectives. This role involves comprehensive oversight of budgeting, accounts management, cash flow optimization, and compliance to drive profitability and operational efficiency in the region.

Job Purpose

To oversee and enhance the financial and accounting functions at the regional level, ensuring robust financial planning, compliance adherence, and effective governance aligned with corporate policies and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Drive key regional financial targets, including receivables management, logic remittance, and day sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Collaborate in regional budget preparation and monitor adherence, highlighting variances to the Corporate Controller.
  • Implement and monitor cost optimization strategies to achieve regional profitability goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end financial operations, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, cash reconciliation, and revenue assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, accounting standards, and statutory requirements in all financial transactions.
  • Manage accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, payroll processing, and vendor payments.
  • Drive the adoption and utilization of ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

Compliance & Audit

  • Liaise with statutory and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance across all financial operations in the region.
  • Oversee statutory, internal, and annual audits by maintaining audit-ready documentation and resolving observations promptly.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the regional finance team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and building a robust succession pipeline.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture by setting clear goals, providing continuous feedback, and identifying training opportunities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Essential: Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant (CMA), or MBA in Finance.
  • Preferred: Certification in Financial Management or Compliance.

Experience

  • 14+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-location financial leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, operational governance, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, data analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Indian statutory and regulatory requirements.
