About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Regional Business Development Manager to lead business growth across South India. The role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding TRIGO's service portfolio across key manufacturing and industrial sectors.
The incumbent will own the complete South India business development strategy, customer acquisition, key account management, market expansion, and regional revenue targets.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive business growth across South India for Quality Inspection, Supplier Quality, Containment, Rework & Sorting, Resident Engineering, Quality Engineering, Testing, Audits, and Technical Staffing services.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, engineering, and heavy transportation sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive market development and customer engagement.
- Lead commercial discussions, contract negotiations, and closure of business opportunities.
Key Account Management
- Develop strong relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, manufacturing companies, and industrial organizations.
- Engage with CXOs, Plant Heads, Quality Heads, Procurement Leaders, Manufacturing Heads, and Operations Leaders.
- Manage strategic accounts and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and long-term business retention.
Market Expansion & Strategic Planning
- Map and penetrate new industry segments and geographical markets within South India.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
- Develop regional account plans and growth strategies for target customers.
- Represent TRIGO at industry forums, networking events, and customer engagements.
Solution Selling & Customer Consulting
- Understand customer quality, manufacturing, and operational challenges.
- Propose customized quality and engineering solutions aligned with customer requirements.
- Support technical presentations, capability demonstrations, customer audits, and proposal development.
- Work closely with operations and technical teams to design value-added service offerings.
Reporting & Governance
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM updates, pipeline reports, and business reviews.
- Track key business metrics including revenue, conversion ratios, customer acquisition, and account growth.
- Provide regular market intelligence and competitor insights to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Automotive, Electrical, or related discipline).
- MBA in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management preferred.
Required Skills
- 7–10 years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, Key Account Management, or Industrial Sales.
- Strong experience in South India markets with an established customer network.
- Proven track record of achieving regional sales and revenue targets.
- Strong exposure to B2B solution selling within industrial and manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to engage with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
