Job Description
Operational role supporting accurate, timely client static data maintenance and exception resolution across global banking platforms to meet SLAs and control standards.
As a Reference Data Specialist in Commercial Investment Bank, you execute day-to-day client record setup and maintenance activities while ensuring data accuracy, control adherence, and SLA delivery. You will manage incoming requests from internal partners and Lines of Business, investigate exceptions and ageing items, and drive issues through to resolution. You will communicate with internal clients via email and phone, escalate non-routine risks appropriately, and contribute to BAU projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain client records across functional applications, global systems, and mainframes.
- Update client static information accurately and within established turnaround times.
- Manage BAU workflow and intake for requests from CSOs, Implementation teams, and internal departments.
- Investigate exceptions, transaction-level breaks, and ageing items to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Respond to mailbox queries and resolve client issues with appropriate prioritization and ownership.
- Execute BAU projects and production back-up tasks, ensuring timely completion and documented outcomes.
- Escalate non-routine situations, risks, or control concerns to supervisors/managers and track to closure.
Required Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities
- Graduate with experience in a bank operations environment
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills with professional client interaction
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organization, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, including strong working knowledge of MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, And Capabilities
- Knowledge of Cash and Trade products and related operational workflows
- Experience working with global systems/mainframes and static data onboarding/maintenance processes
- Ability and willingness to work WHEM shift (7:30 PM to 4:30 AM)
- Experience collaborating within a global team across regions and time zones
