As an Associate within Reference Data Management Operations (RDMO) †Instrument, Pricing & Issuer Reference Data Operations, you will lead the team footprint delivering reference data services across Asset and Wealth Management lines of business. You will build and manage a team responsible for creating and maintaining Instrument and Common Reference Data on core platforms, while establishing a robust control framework and operating model. You will execute the reference data operations strategy by partnering with technology and operations stakeholders to promote productivity, process streamlining, automation, and strategic platform change.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic agenda for Asset Reference Data, ensuring delivery of internal client demands across AWM lines of business.
- Recruit and manage a team responsible for creation, maintenance, and exception management of Instrument and Common Reference Data on core platforms.
- Coach team members through performance management, training, development planning, objective setting, and succession planning.
- Establish and enforce a robust risk and controls framework by implementing procedures and ensuring adherence to reduce financial risk.
- Lead operations initiatives and projects focused on productivity, process streamlining, and automation, providing timely updates and managing escalations.
- Partner with technology and operations teams to deliver controlled change into production, representing operations views on cross-functional initiatives.
- Design controlled operational processes and perform business analysis, special projects, and data/process analyses impacting the strategic reference data platform.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- 8+ years Financial Services experience, ideally in data management
- Proven operations management capability with strong risk and controls awareness and ability to handle global, cross-business issues
- Strong people management skills: hiring, assessment, performance management, coaching, training/development planning, objective setting, succession planning
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management, excellent communication, and strong practical skills in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Domain knowledge across Equity, Fixed Income, and Derivatives products
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically across data, technology, risk/control, and operations agendas
- Project management experience delivering automation and productivity targets in an operations environment
- Self-starter mindset with a proactive, pragmatic approach and ability to work autonomously under pressure and fixed deadlines
