Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Redshift Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Amazon Redshift and a strong command of SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions using Redshift, ensuring high performance and reliability. This role involves collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain data models, ETL pipelines, and data marts in Amazon Redshift.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Monitor and improve Redshift performance, including distribution styles, sort keys, and query tuning.
- Implement data validation and data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data security, governance, and compliance in Redshift.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and bugs in data pipelines.
- Document data flows, models, and ETL processes.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift.
- Strong expertise in SQL, including writing complex joins, window functions, and query optimization.
- Experience with Redshift-specific performance tuning techniques (e.g., distribution/sort keys).
- Proficiency in designing and developing ETL workflows using tools like AWS Glue, Python, or other ETL tools.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP.
- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (especially AWS) and services such as S3, Lambda, and Glue.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty) is a plus.
