About the Job:-

You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial and transaction data. You'll work at the intersection ofpayments, finance, and operations, reconciling high-volume transaction data across internal systems, payment gateways, and banking partners.

This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, someone who enjoys digging into data, identifying discrepancies, and solving operational problems at scale.

On the Job

. Perform daily transaction reconciliation between internal systems, payment gateways, and banking partners.

. Identify and investigatetransaction mismatches, settlement discrepancies, and missing transactions.

. Work closely withpayments, finance, and risk teams to resolve reconciliation breaks.

. Monitorsettlement reports, refund flows, and chargeback records to ensure accuracy.

. Maintain clear documentation ofrecon processes, exceptions, and resolutions.

. Build and maintainrecon reports and operational dashboards for transaction monitoring.

. Proactively identifyprocess gaps, recurring discrepancies, or operational inefficiencies.

. Assist in improving reconciliation workflows andautomation opportunities.

Must Haves

. 1-3 years of experience in reconciliation, settlements, finance operations, or payment operations.

. Strong understanding oftransaction reconciliation processes (bank, wallet, gateway, merchant).

. Good knowledge ofExcel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation).

. Experience investigatingtransaction mismatches, settlement gaps, and financial discrepancies.

. Strong attention to detail with ability to work withlarge transactional datasets.

. Ability to work withcross-functional teams (finance, risk, payments, engineering).

. Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Good to Have

Experience infintech, payments companies, or consumer internet startups.
Familiarity withpayment gateways, UPI flows, settlements, chargebacks, or refunds.
Basic SQL knowledge for data extraction and reconciliation checks.
Experience working withpayment platforms, banking partners, or reconciliation tools.
Exposure tofraud monitoring or transaction investigations.
Exposure toUPI ecosystem and NPCI processes candidates with prior experience working with NPCI or handling UPI transactions will be strongly preferred.
