Job Description
Role Overview
The QC Checker ensures that all rebar shop drawings and bar lists are accurate, code-compliant, constructible, and aligned with project specifications. This role is a key quality gateway before submission to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and check rebar shop drawings and bar lists prepared by detailers.
- Verify dimensions, spacing, laps, hooks, cover, bar marks, and sheet consistency.
- Ensure compliance with project codes: ACI, CRSI, BS, IS, or client-specific standards.
- Cross-check coordination of beams, slabs, columns, walls, footings, PT, and special elements.
- Identify detailing errors, constructability issues, and missing information.
- Provide clear remarks, corrections, and guidance to detailers.
- Track revisions and ensure updated drawings are accurate before final submission.
- Work closely with team leads and project managers to maintain high standards of quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 3–10 years experience in rebar detailing and checking.
- Strong expertise in reinforcement detailing rules and standards.
- Command over AutoCAD and detailing workflows.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

- High accountability and consistency.
- Ability to foresee site-level issues and prevent errors proactively.
