Khalsa Inc. is a growing construction company specializing in concrete formwork, reinforcing steel installation, and structural concrete projects across Canada. We are seeking experienced Rebar Installers to join our team on major commercial, institutional, industrial, and high-rise construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, unload, and position rebar bundles so each piece can be safely hoisted and installed as required.
- Load and unload materials and place reinforcing steel in slabs, walls, columns, beams, slab bands, foundations, and other structural elements.
- Place and secure rebar on commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects in both horizontal and vertical formwork.
- Identify various rebar sizes, lengths, shapes, and bend types.
- Perform physical tasks including packing rebar, snap tying, cutting rebar using a cut saw, and installing rebar chairs and supports.
- Read and follow blueprints, structural drawings, and rebar shop drawings.
- Follow instructions from Site Technicians, Foremen, and Supervisors.
- Work around and signal crane operators during lifting operations.
- Work safely at heights using approved fall protection and positioning equipment.
- Maintain productivity and quality while working under minimal supervision in all weather conditions.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of rebar installation experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience working on major construction projects in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, or other Middle Eastern countries.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, rebar placing drawings, and shop drawings.
- Experience working safely at heights and around tower cranes and mobile cranes.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction work.
- Basic English communication skills.
