Role Overview:
The Rebar Detailer will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and rebar placing plans using RebarCAD. The role involves coordinating with structural engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure drawings comply with design standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop rebar detailing drawings, sections, and layouts using RebarCAD.
- Prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) directly from RebarCAD.
- Interpret structural drawings and specifications provided by consultants/clients.
- Coordinate with structural engineers to resolve design or detailing discrepancies. Ensure compliance with relevant codes (ACI, BS, IS standards as applicable).
- Review and verify drawings before submission for accuracy and completeness. Manage revisions, updates, and project documentation. Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to project timelines.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth workflow and quality output. Provide technical support during construction, if required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in RebarCAD (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD.
- Understanding of structural engineering concepts related to reinforced concrete.
- Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
Soft Skills:
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and within teams.
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Education:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Certification in drafting or CAD tools is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with global detailing standards (US, Canada projects).
