Rebar Detailer

SG India Engineering Private Limited is seeking experienced Rebar Detailers / Senior Rebar Detailers with expertise in US standards to support structural engineering projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules in accordance with US codes and project specifications. This position is suitable for professionals with 2-7 years of relevant experience in rebar detailing for US-based projects. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare rebar detailing drawings and bar bending schedules as per US standards • Interpret structural drawings and specifications for reinforced concrete structures • Perform quantity take-offs and material estimation for rebar • Ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards • Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, and internal teams • Review and check detailing outputs for quality and constructability (for Senior Rebar Detailer role) • Modify and update drawings based on client comments and revisions • Maintain proper documentation and version control of detailing drawings • Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects Eligibility Criteria / Qualifications: • Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering • 2-7 years of experience in rebar detailing for US projects • Strong knowledge of US codes • Experience in preparing bar bending schedules (BBS) • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings Skills & Competencies: • Proficiency in RebarCAD • Experience in AutoCAD • Knowledge of Tekla Structures (preferred) • Familiarity with Excel for quantity tracking and reporting Why Join Us: • Opportunity to start your career in a professional engineering environment • Supportive and collaborative work culture • Exposure to real-time structural and engineering projects • Learning and growth opportunities
