Role Description The Rebar Detailer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruchirappalli. This role is responsible for preparing accurate rebar placing drawings and bar lists from structural and architectural plans, using specialized CAD and detailing software in line with project specifications and industry standards. The Rebar Detailer collaborates with engineers, project managers, and other detailers to clarify design requirements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain adherence to project schedules. Daily tasks include reviewing design documents, modeling and detailing rebar in 2D/3D environments, performing quality checks on drawings, and updating documentation based on client or engineer feedback. The role also involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery, proper revision control, and high levels of accuracy and constructability in all detailing outputs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in rebar detailing and CAD drafting, including experience with 2D/3D detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Candidates should possess applied knowledge of civil/structural engineering concepts, including reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings, rebar schedules, and construction specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in BIM and 3D modeling workflows for concrete and rebar, with the ability to create coordinated models and shop drawings.
- Candidates should possess analytical and quality-focused skills, such as attention to detail, error checking, and adherence to project standards and codes.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and client teams, including the ability to document and resolve technical queries.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in rebar/structural detailing.
- Prior experience in rebar detailing, structural steel detailing, or related engineering services is highly beneficial.
