Your role and responsibilities

The Real Estate ESG Reporting Analyst supports the implementation of ABB Group Sustainability Agenda within the Real Estate business function, with focus on compliance with applicable Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting requirements.In this role, you will be collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from real estate projects at ABB locations to provide actionable insights that support the organization's sustainability goals. Your work will be integral to tracking progress, identifying areas of improvement, and ensuring compliance with ESG reporting frameworks.

This role is contributing to the Real Estate business function globally and reports to the Global Real Estate Controller.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Owning ESG reporting for the Real Estate business function, in compliance with relevant regulatory and business requirements.
  • Developing and implementing reporting procedures and controls in line with group reporting policies.
  • Maintaining accurate analysis and reporting systems for tracking ESG performance of real estate portfolio and operations.
  • Preparing and presenting regular reports to leadership team and business stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous process improvements and increased compliance across global real estate operations.
  • Ensuring awareness of ESG requirements and initiatives within the Real Estate team, deliver trainings and prepare diverse communications on the topic.
  • Collaborating with global teams across finance, real estate, sustainability and other functions to ensure data accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Staying current with ESG regulatory developments in the European Union and globally, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications for the role
  • You are passionate about Sustainability.
  • You have a solid understanding and demonstrable interest in ESG reporting frameworks and regulations, particularly those relevant in the European Union (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy directive).
  • Preferably, you have up to 5 years of experience in ESG reporting. Familiarity with sustainability metrics in Real Estate is a plus (for example, CRREM).
  • Degree in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Finance, Data Analytics, or similar.
  • You have a strong analytical mindset and feel comfortable working with large datasets, spreadsheets, and reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • You excel at communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proactive and detail-oriented working style.
  • You are at ease communicating in English. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
