Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Asset - Senior Fund Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, with expertise in private equity or fund administration. This role is crucial for maintaining books and records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring the smooth execution of all accounting processes for complex fund structures. Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain and control the general ledger and various sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, footnotes, and partner capital statements.
  • Prepare trial balances and work paper products with high accuracy.
  • Process both standard and complex bookkeeping entries and manage a full cycle of transaction activities.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed financial data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Be involved in calculating carried interest, performance, and incentive fees.
  • Process payments and other transactions efficiently.
  • Stakeholder & Project Management:
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for on-shore stakeholders.
  • Participate in the implementation of new fund structures into the accounting system.
  • Proactively identify and escalate any material issues that affect service delivery to the Supervisor.
  • Contribute to special projects related to the expansion and evolution of the business.

About You

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an ACCA equivalent, or actively studying for a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent).
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting within the financial services sector, particularly in Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration.
  • Experience in Limited Partnership accounting is essential.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is required.
  • Strong experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Established knowledge of accounting and consolidations under IFRS.
  • Strong operational experience with a focus on processes and controls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
